JRS3: Season Three is coming!! Plus, check out the new Joyride website and share your bike love!

Howdy Joyriders!

I’m here to wish you a happy new year AND to let you know that Season Three of the Joyride Podcast is coming in January 2018. That’s right. Ten, fresh new episodes delivered right to your earholes on Sunday mornings, starting January 7th featuring all new voices in new settings. This season we welcome our first international guests and record our first LIVE shows at Stream PDX – the podcasting and storytelling studio INSIDE of a vintage airstream trailer. That’s where the guys at the Sprocket Podcast record, and where we recorded the 100th episode of the Pedalshift Project.  I was fighting a major cold and still had a blast.

I’m stoked to have access to Stream PDX because it means I’ll have a studio space to hang out with and interview some of the rad women and folks in the Portland community. I can’t wait to share these conversations with you.

Also, snacks y’all. In the meantime, please check out the brand spankin NEW website at thejoyridepodcast.com. There you can sign up for the newsletter to stay in touch, check out the back list of episodes, listen to the show right from the website, and share your favorites with a friend. Also, check out the resources page where you can find a list of my favorite podcasts, books, apps, gear, and more. It is an evolving work in progress.

Friends, a dear friend of mine asked recently how to support the show, and I sure appreciate that. I give my time and energy because I love making this show for you, but there are costs involved with keeping a podcast up. So, ThisCoryWicks, thanks for asking, now it’s my turn. If you dig the Joyride and you have it within your means to do so, I’d be honored it if you would consider contributing even just a dollar toward the show. Go to thejoyridepodcast.com/support to make a one-time or recurring contribution via Paypal. Your support will make the show possible and keep it free of advertising by helping yours truly with the hosting costs, studio fees, and equipment upgrades.

Monthly subscribers will get perks like stickers, postcards, access to the Joyride Google group + online hangouts, and more to come. Once production costs are covered I can look into upgraded gear for better field recording as well as show transcripts for our friends in the deaf community. So, if you’ve enjoyed the show and you have the means, please cruise go on over to thejoyridepodcast.com/support to learn more and thank you in advance for your support!

Don’t forget to nominate a guest at bit.ly/joyrideguest. I am already taking requests for season five y’all! Who are the gals that inspire you to get outside and ride your damn bike? Tell me whose bike love story YOU want to hear on the show. Again that’s bit.ly/joyrideguest.

Alright Joyriders – like winter and spring and summer again, Season three is coming. Check out the new website, subscribe to the newsletter, tell a friend, make your bed, eat your vegetables, ride your bike, and whattaya say we get back together the first Sunday of 2018? I’ll be the one lurking in your podcasts.

Friends, you know I believe in the transformative power of the bike, in our personal lives, our communities, and the world at large. I would be super grateful if you’d leave a rating or review in iTunes, Stitcher, or via whatever method you listen. It helps more gals find the show, and I believe the more stories we share, the more women who ride, we make this world – both our internal and external worlds – better with every revolution.

Remember: I read 5-star reviews out on the show because I love you.

Ratings and reviews help with that, but nothing is better than a personal referral, it’d be rad if you would share the show with even just one woman who you think might dig it.

Never forget, “Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.”

Keep moving forward and until next time I hope you enjoy the ride.

Forever Forward,

~C
